My whole playgroup is building decks from battlebond, and I was lucky enough to get to build the Zndrsplt and okaun deck. Toying around with builds I am actually finding myself focusing more and more on abusing extra combat steps and less coin flipping because the most efficient way to flip more coins is to just have another combat step w the commanders out. It looks like the all star flippers are krarks thumb, karplusan minotaur, and chance encounter, but most of the rest I replaced w cards like combat celebrant and aggravated assault. I cheat some more with helm of the host and such but besides the key players and some supplements like boompile as a board wipe coin flipping doesn’t fit into many slots. Is this wrong? Should I trigger my commanders more to abuse the engine or should I have more cards that take advantage of it?

Candidate for best combo of all time: 5-6 cards in Izzet. Requires 12 single turn mana but 28 mana total. Result is to exile EVERY card from the game. In play: Hive Mind, Mycosynth Lattice, Vedalken Orrery. Can additionally include Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir to protect the combo. Actions: Cast Paradigm Shift, hold priority, cast Decree of Annihilation, pass turn. Decree exiles all cards in play (because everything is an artifact), in hands, and in graveyards. Then hive mind has forced everyone to have a copy of Paradigm shift on the stack (spell is created on stack so Teferi doesn't prevent Hive Mind), each of their libraries are exiled and there is no graveyard to replace. There are no cards, at all, in the game, move to end step. I've unlocked the achievement playing with the DOM Jhoira on turn ~10 with a mix of Paradox Engine/Planar Portal/Planar Bridge/buncha rocks. Before executing I theory-crafted a few other ways to accomplish the same goal, but this was the easiest.

I think that Mind Slaver/Emrakul and Assist is a fun thing to do, especially if you have Vedalken Orrery out.

I like my Brago deck the best, so Spellseeker could find two or more of my low cost, fumble, swords, etc.
