Sorry Jimmy that you were unable to top deck anymore lands...And Josh that Deck is insane! Absolutely one of the best decks ever played on Game Knights!! Plus Always fun to watch Prof. And Wedge Sling spells!!

Well, I think all of us want that Shadowborn Decklist. NEVER thought of Athreos for Shadowborn, I'd always seen it with Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker (<a href="https://scryfall.com/card/bok/81)." rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://scryfall.com/card/bok/81).</a> Great game though, it was nail-biting till the end.

Great Shadowborne spotlight I guess, not a super interesting episode though. Jimmy basically wasn't in it, and didn't see much from the Prof or Wedge since Josh was so far ahead for most of this.

Loved seeing the game, variance is a hell of a thing. And just a heads up, at 44:57 the audio quality of Josh's commentary track seems to lower dramatically (like it was recorded with different equipment). Not sure if this was just a re-recording that needed to happen, or an audio bug, but wanted to point that out in case it was the latter. Keep up the great show!

I could have missed something but at 43:40 when wedge searches his deck for Chaos Warp shouldn't he have taken 10 damage from Ob Nixilis?

Same as the other: great deck from Josh, nice to see, Wedge fought well, but Josh was too far ahead too soon! @Josh: do you list all of your EDH decks somewhere? I would love to take a look at your various lists. We seem to have some strategies and game styles in common, although we never do it the same way. I have a Yidris wheel deck :O

Always fun to see some unique decks. Just saw the deck tech video for the Profs Sygg deck and it was great to see it in action. Unfortunately it didn't combo quite as fast as Josh's deck, but it was still nice to see the pieces in place. Great video. Highly entertaining. Poor Neheb. That's twice on Game Knights that he hasn't had a chance to shine. Third times a charm maybe? Though I'm curious how it's done outside of Game Knights.

I agree. While the banter was great, especially with Wedge and the Professor, it didn't look like an enjoyable game to be a part of. Josh was playing solitaire. Also, the number of tutors in that deck really make it so there is no variance in play. It's a linear deck that plays out the exact same every time. Some people like that sort of thing though. I'm actually not surprised that Jimmy's deck has failed on GKs twice now. He has very few permanents under 4CMC. The bread and butter cards are nearly all 5ish CMC. He has a lot of top end ramp, but very little to get him there. He needs more 1-2 drop mana ramp and less Black Market/Hedron Archive/Gauntlet of Power type ramp. Sword of the animist is good, but it make it work, there need to be low CMC creatures to equip and attack with. There's a reason Wedge's deck works on 2 lands and Jimmy's didn't on 3. Wedge dropped A LOT of cheap mana rocks.

I shouldn't have seen this game at 2 am... now i can't sleep cause i'm researching to build that Athreos deck. You commented when you were answering my question in the podcast that you check the decks to avoid broken things, but holy crap hahah!

It really was a weird episode, it started so jolly and fun with the banter, and suddenly it went ultra serious, i could hear the despair on their voices. That's a nice deck name... Apostle Despair.

Great episode and also great decks!! Feeling for you Jimmy!! Just sad, because you were so happy to play Neheb again. I think the only thing that's worse than being mana screwed is one sided mass land destruction (like a little Seismic Spike + Reiterate combo in a Mizzix deck or something like that) and I'm just happy 99% of commander players I know don't play these. Anyway. Great Episode and I hope we'll see some Battlebond gameplay here soon!! Prof and Wedge got me hyped with their partner videos on YouTube!!

2 things I want to point out. First, Razaketh should have been the target for all the removal since it's a free-ish sac outlet, protecting everything else. Second, idk why but the CC was on when my video was playing, it mistyped a lot of words.

Hello Jimmy and Josh! I've really enjoyed the episode - The PRofessor, Wedge and two of You that is like all-stars of MTG creators :) I have two questions: 1. How do You prepare for recording? I mean I was thinking about recording some games from my local EDH nights and the do some effects etc. What would You recommend for the beginning and something which is also ona budget more or less. Second question: Do Josh think that Shadowborn Apostle could be made in a deck with blue (like UWB) with less copies, but with plenty of cloning effects? You had like 30 of them, but could it work with 15 and like 10 or more cloning effects? I was just wondering (commander could be Oloro, or Ravos + Ishai, maybe Sen Triplets)? Please share Your thoughts :) I am Your big fan from Poland. I wish I could one day talk to You face to face or just take part in You Commander game with my Dragon tribal deck :)
