Status Update (Patreon)

Finally have internet. I’m staying in an apartment for the time being. It’s not in the best location, so I’m not willing to bring much here. Going to keep my computer in storage until I find something better or the house is rebuilt. This means there won’t be any updates for SC until I can use my PC again. All of the Daz files for SC are stored on my PC. I have everything else backed up on an external HD, but I wouldn’t be able to do anything Daz related. (AKA no images) I can use my laptop to work on some things. It just doesn’t seem logical to work on SC right now. It wouldn’t be up to the quality you are all use to. My laptop might not even be able to run Daz.

There are other options, but I want to ask your opinions first. I could just put everything on hold until I can go back to working on SC. Alternatively, I could start a new project. It would probably be in Renpy or HTML with limited, low quality images. I wouldn’t make a very large scale game. The story would have to be set outside of the dragon-saga, if you want to call it that. It would really just be something to post to keep my Patreon from dying until I can get back to working on SC.

Now I know I posted before that I had no interest in working on anything other than SC until it was done, but I didn’t expect anything like this to happen. Regardless, I’m going to make a poll for everyone to decide which you would prefer. Just be aware that if I’m not able to post SC updates, there’s not much else I can post. I don’t think I would even be able to post pin-up type images for a little while because all of my Daz stuff is saved on my PC and not my external HD.

If you happen to have other suggestions, let me know. I’m not really sure what else I could post for the time being. I haven’t gotten an estimated date on the rebuild due to everything being closed for the holidays. For now I’ll just say this pause in SC’s development could last anywhere from 3 months upwards to a year.

I hate that I have to do things this way. If I can get an apartment or something in a better neighborhood, I can set up my PC there. Until then, I just don’t trust bringing something of such high value to where I’m living now.

Also, forgot to mention above, but if it isn’t obvious already, there won’t be an update for SC this month. Sorry if you have already donated this month in hope of an update. If need be, I can refund anyone who messages me. (Assuming I can figure out how through Patreon.)
