Mayo has French origins so I feel like the cafe was created out of that French inspiration? The wine, the swank, etc. I also wonder if the dishes were somewhat inspired by the ingredients of mayo which explains the mustard spiced broccoli and the eggs on salad. These are my theories :)

Is there an english menu in the Cafe ? We are looking for some cool Food for our trip to Tokyo this year :) Mayo Pudding is defenitely special!

They did have an English menu, but it's only open for two weeks so unless you're in town soon I think you'll miss it. Btw, don't be too afraid of restaurants without English menus, lots of good places in Japan have picture menus or plastic food on display to choose from too, which makes ordering easy. Enjoy your trip!
