Hello there! I was doing some research into the history of sissies and came across this fantastically suggestive gay song from the mid-1930s that I think you will enjoy very much indeed. Also, a little more information about how "Our Hearts Were Young and Gay" would have been (or might not have been) a German code book. I've dug up some interesting stuff about the queerness and gender-flippery of Interview with the Vampire, with more to come. And a question for you: What is the first American theatrical film to feature same-sex parents?

Oh “Interview” had such an effect on me as a kid. At the time I thought it made me want to be a vampire, now I realize I probably just wanted to wear frilly shirts and be around a lot of hot men.

La Cage aux Folles had an English dub and had a US release. I know because I saw it on cable (The Movie Channel) in the early 80s. Speaking of "the pansy craze", I'd love to see you do a retrospective on Victor/Victoria and how progressive it was for 1982 (I know it's a remake of a 1933 movie). It's amazing how much that movie got right and how well it has aged (especially compared to Tootsie which came out the same year).

Are you familiar that this existed? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiPhc5KD50A&t=30s

About that Broadway show, Washington Post critic Peter Marks aptly remarked “Lestat‘s contribution to art and equality is demonstrating that a gay vampire with a two-octave range can be just as dull as a straight one.”

Still looking, but this may be a contender for first American same-sex parent couple in feature film https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/By_Design

In 1974, A Very Natural Thing ends with the main character in a committed relationship with a man who shares custody of his son with his ex wife.

I have an old Disney Magazine that had an interview with Kirsten Dunst about her role as claudia. I need to try to find it and get the article to you somehow.

I have a few upcoming queer games in my wishlist that may interest you! -Spirit Swap is a match-3 action puzzler with a strong narrative thread made by a queer cooperatively owned studio -Thirsty Suitors is a game about fighting your exes of all genders in Bollywood-style over-the-top battles, and is steeped in diaspora South Asian culture -Midautumn is a roguelike dungeon crawler centred around diaspora East Asian culture with a nonbinary protagonist -ValiDate is a very millenial visual novel, with a diverse cast, set in the modern-day US -Pen Pal Princess is another visual novel, this time a queer romantic comedy, set in a medieval fantasy world but with email and IM -Mask Of The Rose is sort of a visual novel as well, made by the creators of Fallen London and Sunless Sea, set in an alternate underground Victorian London, with lots of strange creatures, a murder mystery, love stories to make or sell, and great writing I'm sure given the studio's previous work - And as a bonus, We Are OFK is not upcoming but it only came out last month and is a musical, serialised story about a very queer semi-fictional band! Hope some of these are of interest!

The closest I could come up (and I realize it isn't the answer you're looking for) with is the final scene from Some Like it Hot when Osgood proposes to Daphne (Jack Lemmon) and Daphne says "I can't have kids.) Osgood: "That's okay, we'll adopt" Daphne: I'm a man! Osgood: Well no one's perfect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mHhr-aaLnI

For upcoming queer indie games, I'm following "I Just Want To Be Single!", an "anti-dating sim" where you play an ace girl who wants to be just friends with a bunch of girls who want to date her. It currently has a banner on its Steam page for Gayming Online Indie Festival, which has about 30 upcoming queer games listed, and it says it goes through September 16, so if you see this comment soon enough, you can look through those there or at the website gayming DOT live.
