On this week's Cozy Pants podcast we're talking about two excellent black and white movies that could not be more different: The Lighthouse, starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson (both of whose names I forgot); and Some Light it Hot, starring Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon and Marilyn Monroe and the woman who played Ensign Rand on Star Trek. We also have some more bag-balm talk, just so you're prepared; and muse about the physiology of Andrew Lloyd Weber's human trains. And we're closing in on the final chapters of Modelland!

I LOVE! Some Like it Hot! Being trans, seeing a movie about men passing themselves off as women and doing it well was a real treat, and very few movies has done it half as well Tootsie being the only other one. And the lighthouse is one of the best horror films to come out in the last 12 years. A fantastic movie. Looking forward to listening to this, it should be fun.

Some Like it Hot really is a joy — I’m glad it resonated with you too! Every now and then there’s talk about a remake, and I wonder how a modern version would change certain elements.
