Two years have passed since the boys faced down the darkness on Death Island. But death has returned to Baker’s Gap to claim its children. A shadow looms and nightmares drive one of the boys to the edge of breaking. But where there is a fearless and good boy, there is always hope.

I just realized what this pack of boys reminds me of, and it's a serious compliment. These boys remind me of Ray Bradbury's boys of summer in "Dandelion Wine" and the marvelously brave children of the same author's "The Halloween Tree." When I say 'reminds me,' I do not mean derivative. No, sir. No, ma'am. Original and that good is what I mean. 🖤
