Mochi Moshi Dev Log #29: The Normal Update (Patreon)

This is probably the most dull update because nothing wrong has really gone on. There's no real excuses to make because, if I'm going to be honest, things have been speeding along well in terms of writing the game. Let's break it down so it's a lot more organized of a newsletter, shall we?

The LAW
You've probably heard me talk about wanting to write LAW and getting to start it last month, and now that I'm in the middle of LAW I can tell that it's really fun and just what I wanted to do. If you're unfamiliar, LAW is the Lazy Transformation, Ass Expansion, Weight Gain route where I'm going to have Kazumi go into a neet like spiral, and enjoy every minute of it. We'll get to see Kazumi go from a relatively closeted girl with nerdy interests to a full on stays up 20 hours a day for raids neet. Analogy rather than the actual route but it'll be fun to read when it's out.
I can't really give a taste of it because I want to keep most of the gags a secret, but I did write that he uses the initials "CUM" and "ASS" when she's at the arcade just like everyone else.

The Cowriter
She's doing really good honestly. The way she goes about writing Mochi Moshi is very different than me in terms of actual progression of a route. I always go week by week, she writes an entire outline for all 7 unique weeks in a route to make sure everything lines up. The way I write is more of a sort of "roleplay with myself in my head but I'm playing two characters, the way she writes is more of a character craft. We have a Kazumi bible that still keeps us both writing the same characters so nothing feels different, you won't even know which ones I wrote and which one she wrote in the end!
I also mostly jest about the self roleplaying. I just know these characters so much that I just envision how they would talk to each other and just write that. I know how Kazumi would react to anything, comment below if you want to know some hidden Kazumi lore by asking her a question.

The End of Sweden
I already wrote about this mostly in the all encompassing update, but I just want to reiterate really quickly: I am returning home on the 25th of August which means I'll have a few days where I'm not doing anything. This will impact writing but not by much! I'll still have about as normal as an update as you get every month.

The Waistline of Kazumi
If anyone has seen me post on twitter recently, yes I know what it's called now I don't care, I wrote about how the way I do fetish/kink content is going to be different from now on. This literally in no way impacts Mochi Moshi. From the beginning Mochi Moshi has been a project I wanted to write with elements I wanted to write and ways I wanted to express the kinks my favorite way. Weight gain, Expansion, Lazy Transformation, it's all still the same and I'm not catering to anyone but myself here. It just so happens that the way I'm doing this is also a thing that I'm pretty sure 99.9% of people who enjoy that type of content would really like! I like writing about girls getting fatter, so expect that.

The 25th Route
My co-writer and I are constantly trying to come up with what this means. What does the 25th route entail and so many ideas have been thrown out there. At first my idea was "What if every single route at the same time for 4 weeks." But I honestly don't want to have the 25th route end in blob/immobile like I though I wanted to do, because honestly I do not enjoy blob and I'm not sure how I would write about immobile. It's not really fun if the girl can't go out and do shit, to me that is. Instead an idea we're tossing around is full reality shift. Basically a secret route that encapsulates the original idea for Mochi Moshi from the planning period. I think it'd be fun to involve other characters I have as well as a big sort of celebration. Who knows what will really happen, but if you have an idea let me know in the comments.

The Thank You
