One of the largest challenges I have when writing a story is being in the moment and trying to feel out things as naturally as I can. It's funny, I always bare this quote from Alan Wake when it describes characters. "The stories work best when the writer is not intruding on the characters. One slip of the tongue, one out of character action and the magic is lost." This can lead to things taking quite a bit longer than any of us ever anticipate because of it. But I am grateful it is worth it. ^^
