To also cap the night off is another meditation of the Tao, so if you are interested, please feel free to read below!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moon above Water. Sit in solitude.
If waters are calm, the moon shall be mirrored perfectly. If we still ourselves, we can mirror the divine. But should we engage soley in the frantic, wild activities of our daily involvements, if we seek to impose only our schemes on the natural order, and allow ourselves to become absorbed by our self-centered views, the surface of our waters becomes turbulent.
Then you cannot become receptive.
There is no effort that we can make to still ourselves. True stillness comes naturally from moments of solitude where the mind is allowed to settle. Just as water seeks its own level, the mind shall gravitate toward the divine. Muddy water will become clear if allowed to be stand undisturbed, and so too will the mind become clear if allowed to be still.
Neither the water nor the moon make any effort to achieve reflection. In the same way, meditation will be natural and immediate.
