Hissed Connections page 32 + Sketches (Patreon)

Good afternoon my dears! I hope you are doing well today! Storms are abrewing down here in Seattle, and the sun has been swallowed by the dark looming clouds. Days like these are always the kind that recharge myself like a battery that got used dry. So today we have another page of our snake friend, and some sketches to boot! I also wanted to try something a little bit different today, and share some words of meditation with yourselves today. This is of the Tao.

In the beginning, all things are hopeful. Our eyes vanish towards the horizons because more times than not, we are intent on magnificence. All things however are contained in the first moments: Our optimism, our faith, our resolution, and our innocence. Hone it. This is your shield and blade. 

To start, we must make a decision  and act upon it. Even in failure, this decision is a commitment towards self-cultivation. We must make the connection to our inner-selves, for some outside matters are superfluous and can abstract our most deepest realizations. Alone or otherwise, we negotiate all of life's travails. We can make something of ourselves, transforming act, intent and ourselves into instruments to experience the greater emotional and spiritual essences of life. 

Once the decision has been made, all things arive to us on the road we travel. auspicious signs are not superstition, they are confirmation. They are a response. It is said that if one chooses to pray to a rock with enough devotion, even that rock shall come alive. In the same way, to commit ourselves to spiritual and emotional practice,  even the mountains and valleys shall reverberate to the sounds of our purpose.
