Don't think it's talked about often enough, what happens all too much for those of us who are harmed. I don't think it's talked enough about either that just about none of us have made it this far without being damaged in some way, somehow. 

And for those who hurt the most, it almost seems to gravitate further isolation and harm for them from one person to the next like a terrible cycle. 

Until....until we don't really recognize ourselves as us anymore. That we don't see the things about us that are left, as being anything more than a problem. 

There's a price we pay for this mark left on us. And for some of us, all we can pray is someone out there won't raise their hand at us, but for us. Giving us one moment in our lives without heartbreak.
