The Running Waters (Patreon)

Good evening my dears! I hope you are doing well today! Up for download and viewing is a digital piece I call " The Running Waters " Inspired by a sketch from the dear Dreamybun.

" I have tried so hard. I have done all that I can and feel none of it has been for any measure of good! I have gained so much so why do I feel I have nothing at all?! " 

She cried out into the mists that remained unmoved by her tears.

" Know the law of reversals, my little one. You grasp so desperately for what you think is happiness that the very meaning slips between your fingers. " 

She could not stare upon the thing that spoke. 

" It is the nature of humans to measure their worth by accumulated actions, but you cannot see all life through acting alone. You cannot force the reality of things to bend to your expectations and whims. " 

The idol drew closer and as a whisper said: 

"  This is akin to the man who tries to catch a river's running water in a  bucket. If he tries to capture it, he will only know disappointment, for in the bucket the water shall never run. Only when he releases it shall he see it run as nature intended. " 

A river ran from its eyes and far below. 

" See as nature intended. "
