Progress Update #98 (Patreon)

I'm working on this scene where Pekora is reminiscing about her childhood, and the camera pans to the side to reveal a gallery of old family photos. The picture above is the first one and as you can see I decided to make Bugs Bunny her father. For no apparent reason. It's not essential to the story or anything like that, I just thought it would be funny! It also gives a little "mistakes into miracles" kinda vibe you know?

According to the official Hololive lore, Pekora comes from the nation of Pekoland, where she's a member of royalty. This is the only "official" drawing of Pekoland that I could find, and I'm assuming that it's kinda like a fantasy medieval kingdom. In my animation things are a bit different, there's no kingdom or royalty, Pekora is just a spoiled brat in the real (cartoon) world.

And since her dress is inspired by the iconic bunny girl outfit, I thought it would be fitting to draw a little more inspiration from the Playboy mansion, like bunny waitresses and a Hugh Hefner costume for Bugs. He actually wore something similar in the 70's cartoon, so the look really fits his style.

For the mom I just went with the most popular look that the fandom gave her. I'm not sure who was the first artist that depicted her like this, but it's basically just a mix of Pekora's design with the classic anime mom look. Which I think works very well! Especially the braided ponytail, it looks really good.
