Just in case some of you guys missed the update on my channel, here's TBSP ACU! Made by the guys at NDAnimations. They've been working on this animation for a long time, and they did a fantastic job! If you haven't seen it yet, then be sure to check it out!
I haven't started to work in Unity Engine yet. I want to have the environment done before importing the characters, and Valentineis taking longer than anticipated. I might have gone a little bit overboard with some of the buildings, but it's going to be all done in a few days. My goal still is to finish the episode this month.
Mostof the animal models are rigged and ready to be exported. I'm already spending a lot of time on the environment so I opted to use animal models from different games, the rabbit is from Skyrim, the bison is from City: Skylines, the dog is from Majora's Mask, etc. I cleaned up their geometry and lowered the poly count of the more advanced models, to achieve a PSOne look.
But the horse was a complete transformation. I couldn'tfind a good low-poly horse model, but I did find a caribou model from Zoo Tycoon 2, and I thought: "they are both quadrupeds... it's close enough". And after a lot of changes and modifications to the body and texture, I got a pretty good horse! You can see the comparison below:
I also recreated the UI of RDR in after effects, it's all rigged like that PipBoy UI that I did for the Fallout 4 episode. I figured it would be easier to animate a lot of this stuff in after effects rather than program it in Unity. I'm still gonna try to make a working map HUD in Unity, though!
