Poll time- Commissions (Patreon)

I have from the almost the very beginning of my animation "career" been asked about requests, or if I take commissions. I wanted to make a poll to see if people would actually be interested in actually commissioning me.

The biggest thing that stopped me from doing commissions was the amount to charge per project. I don't thank very highly of my work so I feel like even $3 is a lot to ask from someone.  That is what this poll is for. Pricing, and if people would it be worth commissioning me in the first place.

So the idea would be simple looped animations with some basic dynamic stuff layered on top of it. If you have ever seen any of my projects that had sound design done by VolkorNSFW then you understand the limits of what I would be willing to do.

All projects would have a limit of fifteen seconds max, but would include sound by hopefully Volkor if they are still interested in working with me.

I would push for only two commissions a month. These projects would help fill the gaps between my other projects. I would also have a very limited selection of characters to choose from for each project. (Mainly Mass Effect, and Resident Evil for now)

Why am I asking this question? Because I want to create at a high quality with every new project. It is taking longer, and longer to create my animations. This is a double edged sword for me. One side I feel like I am improving, and getting closer, and closer to my end goal of telling stories within my animations. On the other side I feel like I am lazy because I'm not able to release on a regular basis. (That is why I started releasing some barely cleaned up practice animations) I can probably whip out these commissions on a biweekly basis if I just do it in my free time. 


Do note that this will not justify me opening commissions anytime soon. I have projects lined up that will push me into the next year. I'm just curious on what people actually think about my work, and if I am actually worthy of being commissioned.

Star low and qork your way up to what you consider a fair price. Easier than trying to convince yourself to lower prices later if you start high...

I'd be interested in short loop animation commissions and maybe later in the future, adding it as a high tier reward (1 short animation a month). Since this might be a possibility in the future, hopefully this will give time to slowly add more models as options.

I have been thinking about ways to add another Tier for Patrons for sure. Just can't come up with anything of worth to give anybody. I don't give much as is so... As for a monthly animation loop. I've thought about doing this, but feel like it would just slow down my other projects. It isn't much different then my "practice animations" Those improve my main projects though, and I just do them in my free time. I also just don't know how I would go about setting it up for people to decide what they would want.
