Self-portrait, Illusen from Neopets, no post next week (Patreon)

Hi! I'm taking a break from posting next week (going on a trip!), so I figured I'll drop two drawings here for the price of one 😊

1) What I wore to watch the Barbie movie!

I loathe taking photos of myself, but I have put together a lot of outfits I'm proud of and wanted to depict them somehow. Happy to share details of where I got pieces if anyone is curious! And would love to doodle more of my OOTDs in the future! It really depends on how bored I get at work though, haha.
This style is different from what I usually draw, and it was nice to draw something a little self-indulgent! Might use these OOTDs as an opportunity to experiment.
Oh, and those pink slingbacks kept falling off, so I switched to black flats when I actually left for the movie, but no one needs to know. My feet suffer in anything that isn't a pair of running shoes 😔

2) Illusen the Earth Faerie from Neopets!

I slightly redesigned her outfit to something more modern and fashionable, and I might want to draw the outfit in full. I also think I want to turn this portrait into a sticker, tbh!

I actually wanted to redraw this whole piece that gives me so much nostalgia (the faeries were my favorite part of Neopets), but I'll just take it a little bit at a time. I haven't drawn her wings yet because I want to draw the other girls first and then decide the wing placement + angle based on where the girls are sitting in my final piece.

Oh, fun fact, right after I finished drawing her I tried logging into Neopets again and I got locked out of my account. 🙃

I'm still working through the Alphabet series, but I think it would be nice to try drawing some more self-indulgent art, and/or less ambitious works that don't take too much time. I get so many ideas for things I wanna draw, but if I turned them all into big fashion collections I don't think I would ever be able to get them all out of my head!
