Some goddess-inspired fashion for an upcoming collab with all the winners of Ms. Paint's Art Race. If this is your first time hearing about it, you didn't see anything!! 

This was loosely based on a design I did 5 years ago, shown below for reference. I really thought I did something with this...

One design lesson you should take away from this look is just because you put a lot of detail into something doesn't make it good fashion - like yeah, those swirls took me forever to line traditionally but you can barely make out the wing or caduceus motifs and the gold color is barely visible.

I wasn't really trying to redo this dress per se; it was more that I wanted to design a "classical goddess" inspired ensemble and then add some elements from the old design as an easter egg.

I won't lie, I have thought about doing an original drag fashion artbook with redrawn versions of Ira D'Essance's outfits matching various Drag Race runway themes and maybe writing a long retrospective about paper drag during the process. Really don't think I would sell many copies though, so it's not worth the time I'd spend redesigning everything 😭
