Updates to the game

The user interface for Sugarplum Cafe looks a little different now! But also a little familiar?

I recently came across a game in the App Store that had really similar gameplay to what I wanted Sugarplum Cafe to be like. I thought I would be discouraged that a game already exists like mine, but I actually wasn't - I had fun playing it, and it gave me hope that my game will be fun too.
One of the things I liked about the other game was that all the actions were on one screen like my initial prototype, so I decided to combine all my different screens again. 

On the composer front: unfortunately, the Korean composer never got back to me. However, Eurovision 2021 contestant Montaigne has announced that she's interested in composing for indie games, and I like her songs even though they're not a perfect fit for my game...but I don't know maybe we could make it fit? It's crazy but I'm thinking about it.

I also finally put in a request with Ubisoft's legal department to get permission to make this game, now that I have a prototype. I gave them until the end of next week to respond, so here's hoping 🤞🤞🤞

How to playtest the prototype

First, a disclaimer: this is not a full game. Right now, this just covers the primary game mechanic. There's no audio and there are more features I'd like to add. Please be aware of that!
