You may remember this WIP from a while back and he's finally done! Only two months late for Easter. This is for @alocalcosplayer who was one of the winners of my fanart contest last year. He asked for something bunny-themed and I've had this idea of a Faberge Easter bunny for a while so he let me use him as a model!

I'll probably share this again with a nice backdrop when I have the other prize art done so I can make a nice 2x2 set of portraits like last time, but I actually like how it looks without the background so I thought I'd share.

As for updates - first of all, the last batch of Patreon cards is getting shipped out this week. If you requested cards (or earned the Witches Pack) you should have received a PayPal email with your tracking number. Let me know if you did not receive it and I'll resend.

The big update I wanted to say is that I'm going to stop posting art on a regular schedule on Instagram. I was churning out new designs every week for 3-4 years straight, and only recently I shifted to every two weeks, but now even that is getting difficult. I didn't finish this Sayaka design because I totally burned out.

I'm going to prioritize finishing all the art I owe people - commissions, prize art like this bunny boy, and Patreon art. After this, I'm going to shift my focus to two projects:

  • Game stuff: I've been trying to split my time between art + the game 50/50, and it's just not working. I want to take the leap and make this my main creative outlet. As said, my game concepts are constantly changing (and ideas have changed yet again since I last updated you), but there will always be chic outfit designs.
  • A Sailor Moon artbook:  After the sticker cards, I held some polls to see what people were interested in actually buying from me; the Sailor Moon artbook was the most popular and my personal favorite choice. I'm thinking the artbook will include both redraws of official artwork and original fashion series inspired by Sailor Moon. As my dream has always been to make a living from art, and a lot of my depressing feelings with social media come from my failures to achieve that dream, I do want to shift to making art for a tangible project. I still plan to work on the game primarily (game/art split will be like 90/10), but in case I get the urge to draw I'll be working on art for the artbook. Other fashion series will be put on hiatus for now, but I feel like they were only showing glimpses of me whereas Sailor Moon is like, my entire childhood and soul, so I think I wanna do this and show myself before going back to the other series.

I don't plan to leave Instagram and art forever, that's absolutely a promise I cannot keep. But I'm going to try posting whenever I feel like it instead of forcing myself to make something every week/every 2 weeks. Which now that I type it really is not that big a deal, yet I'm still really nervous about taking this step. Like, what if I get even less likes when I do finally post?

But I know this is better for me in the long run, because ultimately I want to build a community and I don't think posting art on Instagram is enough to achieve that. Plus, for the first time I can just sit back, relax, and play video games instead of spending all my free time drawing. I won't lie, it's been really nice.

I'm not going to announce this on Instagram or anything because I don't want to draw attention to this in case I change my mind lol, but I do think Patreon deserves full transparency on where my mind is at. Speaking of how this affects Patreon backers, I don't think it will. With the two projects I mentioned I'll still have art and fashion content to share with you on Patreon thankfully! It might be less frequent, but I've been enjoying digging through old WIPs and process pics so I will continue to sprinkle them in my posts as well.
