The rest of this year is gonna be BIG for House Party, Patron-doods!

There's a ton of awesome stuff headed to the party this year, so we're gearing up to drop a much-needed public roadmap for all players.

While this won't be very detailed (oh, how plans change with a small dev team), we hope it should give everyone a good at-a-glance-idea of what's coming and, roughly, when it's coming, too!

As we mentioned, plans might change - particularly as we start doing more work on Office Party. But it's safe to assume that the roadmap items in the nearer future will be more certain and accurate than those planned for later this year.

House Party - Halloween Holiday Pack 

Thanks to your Patron benefits, you already know that Halloween is on the way soon, but it's actually on the way really soon.

We hope to have the DLC fully released to players within the next few weeks, which means we'll bring you a beta for testing much sooner!

We're currently working on getting that ready now (there are still some bugs we want to get taken care of first), but it won't be long before it's ready for our corresponding tester-tier Patrons to start giving us feedback! 👻

House Party - Winter Holiday Pack

Once we have the toggle on/off feature ready for Halloween, it shouldn't take us long to get the Winter Holiday Pack prepped! 🎅

We're hoping to have it fully released to players sometime next month (by the end of May), so you should be able to expect that you'll have a chance to playtest it if you're in a corresponding early build tier sometime before then!

House Party - Detective Liz Katz in a Gritty Kitty Murder Mystery

Now for the big news: the awesome murder mystery DLC! 🕵️

If you've been playing the early Liz Katz alphas and betas, you've gotten to enjoy the following awesome parts of her expansion pack:

• Look What The Katz Dragged In (Meet Liz for the very first time and let her into the party!)
• Blackout (Something mysterious is afoot...and the party's getting darker, doods.)
• Stop It Step Bro (What. The. Fuck. Oh, shit, wait, is that a clue...?)
• Too Hot To Handle (Is it hot in here or is it just me? Or, damn, is it the chemistry between me and Liz?!)
• Will & Testament [Alpha Only] (Get ready for some code-breaking... it's decoding time!)

We're hoping to get the Will & Testament Beta ready for you within the next couple of weeks. Similarly, the next Alpha (Smoke 'Em And You Got 'Em) should be coming sometime in the weeks around then, too!

Smoke 'Em And You Got 'Em is currently planned to be the finale Liz update before we work on putting together a polished beta of her overall expansion pack content. Having collected your clues, you'll finally be ready to crack the case! 🤘

House Party - Base Game Feature Updates

After the Detective Liz Katz in a Gritty Kitty Murder Mystery Expansion Pack releases, we've got those exciting new updates we hinted at on the way!

Yeah, these are the same things we said could make Halloween and Winter even more awesome, and are based on some of the feedback we got from you brahs in our Future Of House Party Feedback Form! 🎉

All we'll say is that these updates should help you make the party more your own. It won't be any sort of big new character, story, or content patch, but we think you’ll love what we’re planning on adding. We'll share more details very soon! 👀

House Party - New Content Pack

Toward the end of the year, we're hoping to release the New Content Pack: a sweet new DLC set entirely in the House Party universe! (What's even cooler is that this DLC will also be enriched by the free House Party base game feature updates that we release just before the expansion drops.)

It’ll include a cool new side story (separate from the original story), two brand new characters to interact with (one female, one male), and a couple new clothing items that will be wearable by many of the original House Party cast! 🔥

The theme of this DLC and much of the story inspiration will be drawn directly from your responses in the Future of House Party Feedback Form! We’re still in the conceptualization phase on this, so this means that we’ll let you know what the winning clothing and story themes are for the DLC as soon as we can! 🍻

What about VR and Office Party?

As we mentioned in the timeline visual, Office Party development might change some of the stuff in this dev plan, but we'll keep you posted if anything is getting moved around as soon as we know it! For now, as Patrons, you'll be the first to know about anything Office Party related as we continue working on it!

Right now, it's being worked on slowly alongside all of the other stuff going on, but we're not doing any artsy stuff that's great for sharing on Patreon. Let us know, though, if you don't care about seeing progress images and still want us to try to share more non-art and non-story information about Office Party in the future!

No news on VR right now, but we'll keep you doods updated! It looks like it'll be a bit further off at the moment. 👍
