It has been a very long time since my best friend and I have shot. Well, I suppose we shot briefly while we were both in Phoenix but I am rather talking about a proper shoot.

Anna Lisa took an impromptu trip to Los Angeles to visit one of her friends that had a baby within the recent months and because of the current events has not been able to had the opportunity to meet the little one. We were able to get two birds stoned at once on this trip of hers; she was able to meet the baby and we had the pleasure of capturing some beautiful images with one another.

Anna Lisa rented a small and quaint Airbnb tucked in the hills of the Los Angeles outskirts. Nestled up a hefty flight of stairs that made me realize how out of shape I really am was a small little geometric bubble. I do not know what else to call it, maybe and igloo not made out of ice? Who knows. What I do know is that the light in the space was phenomenal and all cards were pointing to some beautiful images. I will save the rest of the story for the digital images for when they release.

One more note, however. I did get a chance to shoot some of the 2006 expiration FP-100C film that I acquired from Brooklyn Film Camera. They landed a deal on 9 cases, that's 32 packs per case, of FP-100C direct from the Fujifilm factory – meaning it had been cold stored since its production date in 2004. I was able to purchase ten packs from them and I tested the first pack out with Anna Lisa. FP-100C historically and without fail normally comes out true to hue with a cooler temperature to the film. These positives came out a little bit warmer at nature with definitely a strong magenta hue to them. I have never shot a pack of FP-100C that looks like this, but I am pleased with how it looks. I also thoroughly enjoy the strange emulsion failures in the corners of the exposures. Enjoy!

These exposures were shot on Polaroid SX-70 Type Color film and expired Polaroid Originals SX-70 Type Color film both with a Polaroid SX-70 Sonar OneStep as well as Fujifilm FP-100C Color Professional film with a Polaroid 600SE.
