After the announcement, here is what I have been doing this month: mainly filing, temporary assembly, and re-production of broken parts. I was working solemnly on this kit because I have produced it in the past and it is a rerun story...

Two Marin, Botan, and Asuna.

As for Botan, it wanted only her face to be painted. Basically, I don't accept requests for only the face, but I have done it once before, so I accepted the request.

Only the body of Botan is all sanded and only the shoulders are painted to match the skin color. It is surprisingly manageable.

I used to paint the white eyes with resin white, but this time I painted the white eyes as well. I thought it was more beautiful this way, so I will paint the whites of the eyes properly from now on.

It was really hard to file the hair of the two Marine and Asuna bunny....

I wish I could have done a dry fit of the Marine, but I didn't have the energy for that.

I originally planned to start around August-October, so if I think I could have done the prep work a little earlier, I guess that's OK, but it's really tough to do all the prep work at once. I thought, "I don't want to do this again...well, I will do it.

And Shouko Reverse Bunny, whose ears were broke, so I had re-make them.

This is a 3D printed part, and according to Shouko, she printed the resin with a tougher resin.

I intentionally cracked the unwanted part, and while the printed parts by cheep resin has the feel of cracking and a smooth cross-section, this tougher resin was almost like polyurethane resin in texture.

When I broke it on purpose, it broke more like tearing than cracking. I was surprised to see such a clear difference in quality. However, we were told that printing was a little difficult and tricky. However, I thought that if this resin became widely used as an printed kit, there would be fewer tragedies such as parts shattering into pieces....

I feel this resin to be extremely durable and of good quality.

*This resin is said to be called "Shouko Super Tough" resin. If you are interested, please contact Usami Shouko. If you use it for thin or fragile parts, I think it will reduce the accidents of breakage.

Well, here's how I plan to proceed.

  • Swimsuit Raikou
  • Captain Marin (no video)
  • Nightingale
  • Asuna Bunny (no video)

If I work on it gruelingly without a break, I might finish it all by October...? The Asuna Bunny is a personal work, so I may try to put it up for auction when it is finished. Well, while I'm working on these, there is no chance that I will receive a request for an example for an event, so it's a mystery...

I haven't been able to find time to practice modeling at all, but I'll have to find a way to get it together somewhere, otherwise I don't think I'll be able to do it forever...

So, seriously, it was a very short month of July!

I hope to be able to provide a video and progress from next month onward!
