My friends, the construction is nearing the finish line, but the worst part is still ahead - the driver's cabin! Meng has the additional armor plates molded on these parts, but the tank I'm modelling was running around without them. I'll have to sand them all down and then replace the hinges, bolts and rivets 🥲

In other news, I completed the sides. This required texturing, adding the remaining panels and details, texturing those as well, and removing a few bolts and rivets to give it a more battle-worn appearance. 

Meng's version has towing hooks attached to the lower hull, but the tank Nr. 540 had towing shackles. I built those in Onshape and printed them, because we live in the future! It brought back some memories when I was superdetailing the IDF Nagmachon and I had to scratchbuild all 34 (or so) tow shackles from styrene and wire 😁 

So yeah, next up is the roof with the large ventilation thingies and then the driver's cab!
