My friends, today was a day of learning, experimenting and discovering new methods. Long story short, painting cracks is my new favorite technique! It's like chipping for buildings 😁Also, white acrylic wood putty is an excellent weathering medium. The concrete parts and plastered wall were textured with it, but I also stippled it very carefully on the brickwork. And it adds awesome rocky texture to stones! 

Main colors used for everything you see were deck tan, light mud, old wood, black brown, raw umber, black and white. 

Now that I know what techniques to use, the remaining floors should be more about fun and less about trying and thinking 😁 

PS: the book in the background is Landscapes of war: Rural environments from Ammo. Absolute gem because it contains a detailed article from my diorama sensei Volker Bembennek.
