Full speed ahead! I got the hull chipped, turret is next 😁

This time I'm using Dark Rust from Vallejo Panzer Aces range, and it's fantastic! Contrasts so well with the black camouflage spots and it's much easier than mixing your own concoctions. Just 5 drops of paint, 3 drops of VMS retarder and 1 drop of tap water and you're good to go.

The light chipping underneath is done completely with a sponge (again). I mixed the light OD from Russian Uniform, Buff and Deck Tan, again from Vallejo.

Normally I'd be happy that there's only the turret left, but not on this one, as the turret is almost as large as a whole Panzer II 🤣

Talking about chipping, what is your impression of the VMS reverse chipping effect? I wasnt convinced at all with their method of covering the whole thing, but I really liked how you used it on the Jagdtiger. Are you planning to use it again?

Like you said, in that case you don't have much of a choice 😁 Just be more careful with the application and better add less because it's hard to remove and blend. Pre-dusting or just overall enamel dust and mud work will smoothen the harsh transitions.

I find it pretty convenient in places where point-on accuracy isn't my main concern, such as on lower hulls and wheels. I'd like to use it on an entire model though, it would have to be a very light paintjob though because there's no way to paint the light superficial chips underneath.
