Only one away from a big number.  Gosh I never expected to get this far really.  that's all kinda weird.  Its also weird for me to relise this is page 6 this month already.  I have been really enjoying the extra output on this it feels the story is moving better considering 6 pages normally would be a month and a half worth of output....I'm seriously considering maybe once im unfurloughed that maybe I need to just resign or something instead and just pour all my focus on this instead...I need to work out the finanical impact of stepping away from the lab work i do for good and obviously chat to my husband about it but i think id be sad to go back to just one a week but im not sure how else i could fit everything in...hmmm i need to brainstorm i think....errr anyway have a shine page.  What should we name the elephant?  looks like Bob has competition,  to go from no stuffed toys to two in less that 2 days

Ok, we are all agreed the guy is a scumbag for using blackmail, but he DOES at least make points about this exercise and constructively stating how Star did.... Namely about he she used her funds carefully to get 'extra goods'. Maybe this blackmailing is more a way to just teach Star how to be a better soldier while also indulging her ABDL side? Still deplorable and wrong, but maybe not totally done with evil intent? This might just be me trying to see the best in people.

It's always nice to try and fine the silver lining, especially in a horrible situation like this, but blackmail is blackmail. If he truly cared about Star's performance as a soldier he would have changed his leadership approach to meet her admittedly rebellious nature. He cares more about wielding power over people, which turns my stomach a bit remembering he is one of the adults that regularly attends that play party. He is using what is essentially fetish pornography of Star (the spanking) to not only force her into compliance as a Soldier, but force her to indulge in a sexual fantasy of hers against her will. Sadly I think the only thing Star could learn from this is to start hating that side of herself again.

As much as I love this comic, especially with the recent turn of drama and suspense, always do whats best for you and yours. As great as this sped up output has been, if it had to go back to once a week, well suspense can't actually kill you! As a side question, is it normal for the British military to refer to NCOs as sir/ma'am? I see Star go back and forth between sir and sarge, where as a former US service member it would always be Sergeant X, and sir/ma'am reserved for commissioned officers. Not that can't be whatever you want in the world of Shine, only curious.
