Hello friends! My question for everyone this week might bring up some unpopular opinions, people love those! What I would like to know is, what are some games that everyone else seems to love, but you just can’t get yourself into. Personally, I’ve never really got into the Uncharted series, The Last of Us, or Horizon Zero Dawn, despite many attempts at playing them.

Hi Friends, I am loving the Last Of Us Part II so far, but so much of its design reminds me of all the things I loathed about Uncharted 4, a game many recognize as the best in the series but that I sincerely believe is the weakest for reasons too plentiful to point out here (but most of it boils down to pacing and a drawn-out introduction). Are there any franchises you like where you strongly disagree with what many fans consider to be the most celebrated entry? I also don't want to sound like I'm hating on UC4, it is still great.

While watching the nominations for the community top 10 3d platformers roll in, I was shocked and amused at some of the games that came up. My hypothesis is that 3d platformers were a lot of people's introduction to games, which results in massive nostalgia for otherwise unremarkable titles. What mediocre games of the past 5 or so years do you think will inspire massive nostalgia a couple decades from now?

Hey Ben and the Crew! I’m sure you have seen everything on Twitter the other day about Steve Butts and Tal Blevins. Mitch Dyer made a big thread about how abusive the pair were with employees and how they forced false claims into one of his articles about Amy Hennigs departure from Naughty Dog, stating that Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley forced her out. Just wondering if you ever had any dealings with these two (Butts and Blevins). Video games media seems like a mess these days and stuff like this just keeps coming out. Hey Minnmaxxers Do you still own the first piece of videogame hardware you interacted with? My first interaction was with the Sega Pico and unfortunately it was taken when our van was towed. I keep wanting to rebuy it but have yet to pull the trigger.

What's something where context/association makes or breaks something for you? Metal is the dorkiest genre of music, but goddamn Guilty Gear music gets me pumped! Without that association, I definitely would not be listening to those soundtracks.

Hey guys, I know the The Last of Us Part 1 has received substantial criticism for its combat. I don't remember not enjoying it, but it never stuck with me as anything special. However, The Last of Us Part 2's combat has been as thrilling and frenetic as Doom Eternal's combat for me, with that constant feeling that you're on the brink of death and you miraculously make it out alive. I really didn't expect to like it this much. What do you think of it?

Hey MinnMax, do any of you dabble in Trading card games or did you in the past? Recently I have gotten back in to Yu-Gi-Oh! Via the switch game and playing it against a friend in tabletop simulator. Boy have things changed. I played back as a kid when there were just very basic strategies and now the game has evolved so much. But it’s still fun to have that learning aspect mixed with nostalgia.
