Just finished Brothers for the first time last night! What an amazing game!

I use "cinematic" to describe camera work, such as the Witcher 3, when comparing it to more lifeless, static camera work in games like Outer Worlds and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Does the audio version get uploaded before the video version? I'm sitting at the computer while listening to the The Minn Max show, and suddenly wanted to watch the video version?

minnmax

Yes, it does. Because it takes a long time to export the video version, it isn't ready until Thursday mornings.

Listening to the show now, and while you tossed it off very quickly and moved on, I felt a twinge of vicarious pain at your mentioning some asshole spoiling The Last of Us Part II for you during a stream. I'm genuinely sorry that happened to you. I'm doing my level best to Neo-dodge all of that.

Oh, lord. My cringiest "walked in on me" moment is more just a misunderstanding, but the timing could NOT have been more (im)perfect. My ex's daughter, then about age 10, was sitting with me while I was playing Catherine. My ex walked into the room at the exact cutscene moment when the characters discover their bed has an ant infestation. Catherine is offscreen, bouncing on the bed and making loud squealing sounds, while we're shown a closeup of Vincent's face, looking sweaty, bouncing up and down slightly since he's sitting on the bed she's jumping on offscreen. The baleful look my ex threw over her shoulder at me as she rushed her child out of the room stayed with me for some time. The mere notion that I'd just be sitting there with the kid, casually watching some sex scene, would have been amusing had it not lead to an argument later. Hey, at least I won, after considerable explanation.

Speaking of Survivor, I've been binge watching past seasons lately and I've always wanted a Survivor video game myself. Not counting an online version ran by fans I found and played through using a combination of wiki fandom and Facebook, one game does remind me of Survivor is Danganronpa. Each game in the series has a cast of 16 characters who are forced to play a game where they get narrowed down via death, which occasionally involves a vote. Of course the game is linear so you don't have an effect on how things play out and when the characters vote, they are voting for who they think is a murderer rather than just voting for who they want out of the game. But the biggest comparisons I see between the two is that the characters personalities are over-the-top as if they reality stars playing it up for camera and in-between votes you spend time building up relationships and bonds with whoever you want, and the host of the killing game introduces twists to keep things interesting. Of course, I don't think Hanson would like Danganronpa much because it is mean-spirited and has some dark humor along with some rather gruesome gore that they do try to soften by changing the color of blood to a bright pink.
