I knew I wanted to rewatch The Force Awakens before The Rise of Skywalker was released, so why not round up MinnMax's Star Wars expert Ross Pfund and make the most out of it by recording a full commentary track! The Force Awakens is available on Disney Plus if you want to watch it along with us, otherwise the audio could work as a stand-alone podcast reminder of the film's highlights... and all of that dumb Starkiller base stuff.

Let us know in the comments if you're planning on listening to the commentary as a podcast in MinnMax's exclusive audio feed or if you are going the distance and listen to it as you rewatch the film. Thanks, everybody!

I didn't even know I wanted this. Totally re-watching the film just for this commentary.

Fun listen. I listened to it in podcast form. That being said, I hope in the future you guys give more lead time on things like this, as I had watched The Force Awakens just a day ago and maybe I would have waited if I had known this content was coming down the pipes. I’m not sure but I don’t think this was teased or announced before.

Watching it on Disney + while drinking some wine. Great night. You have to do episode 8! Makes me wonder if we have enough MinnMax Members is Minnesota to rent out a theater and watch episode 9 together.

Really enjoyed your guy's commentary, I hope you choose to tackle more in the future.

Ben, this was so good. Thank you. But your Logan take was a little too hot for me ;)

Recently rewatched Ep VII, and my 6 year old has had it on in regular rotation the last couple years, so I felt I know it well enough to enjoy the commentary as audio only. With the "Skip Silence" option on my podcast app, it made it perfect as there are understandably many quiet spots on a commentary.

Kylo is surrounded by first order people that all have the same drive and demeanor he can get a sense of with The Force. So Fins uncertainty and fear are like a wif of a different scent in the force. I don't think he so much thinks its fin, but coming from his direction.

This was interesting to play while rewatching. Thank you both. You have quite different takes than I do on this so it was entertaining to hear. I enjoyed this movie in theaters but honestly, I had a hard time watching this again. I didn't realize how much the new characters don't really strike a chord with me until I watched it this time.

god, I love this movie. I have a weird order of favorites, which is 5 > 6 > 7 > 4 > Rogue One > 8 > 3 > Solo > 1 > 2. this was a great excuse to watch again before IX
