Leo Made A Documentary About His Best Friend's Game: Dome-King Cabbage (Patreon)
Content
Hey, Leo here! Back in March, you lovely patrons flew me out to spend a weekend with my best friend of ten years Cobysoft Joe (and my partner for the industry redefining gaming news show Games Are Dumb And For Kids) as he showed his upcoming game Dome-King Cabbage at Day of the Devs and at SF MoMa. This was during the same time as GDC, you might remember seeing both of us in the GDC travelogue. It was one of the best weekends of my life and I have put a lot of time into giving it the edit I think it deserves.
Joe hasn't had a huge presence on MinnMax (just this stream from 2020 of him walking through his animation process) despite his huge presence in my life, so I hope this helps you get to know him and love him like I do! He's such a talented artist and incredible person to know, and he had so much to share about the complex emotions of putting your heart into your work and watching people dissect it in real time. Went in hoping for a strong sense of that developer perspective and that's precisely what I got.
I could never thank you folks enough for the support that allowed me to do this, I really hope you get something out of it. Take care! Keep supporting indie devs! Oh, and you're welcome to wishlist Dome-King Cabbage on Steam.
We'll DM you a Steam code on Patreon here for the great roguelite game UnderMine if you unlock the 5-hour extended cut of this documentary before June 7th, 2024 by joining the $10 Backstage Pass tier. You'll also unlock the extended version of the upcoming Summer Game Fest travelogue.
