The Dome-King Cabbage Documentary - Extended Cut (Patreon)
Content
Hey, Leo here! Back in March, you lovely patrons flew me out to spend a weekend with my best friend of ten years Cobysoft Joe (and my partner for the industry redefining gaming news show Games Are Dumb And For Kids) as he showed his upcoming game Dome-King Cabbage at Day of the Devs and at SF MoMa. It was one of the best weekends of my life and I have put a lot of time into giving it the edit I think it deserves.
Joe hasn't had a huge presence on MinnMax (just this stream walking through 3D animation) despite his huge presence in my life, so I hope this helps you get to know him and love him like I do! He's such a talented artist and incredible person to know, and he had so much to share about the complex emotions of putting your heart into your work and watching people dissect it in real time. Went in hoping for a strong sense of that developer perspective and that's precisely what I got.
This is a fully edited and watchable five hour travelogue with timecodes in the description for fun moments and listenable podcast-style chats. Keep an eye out for "LEO'S PICKS" if you don't want to watch such a massive thing, and would rather just check in on my favorite segments.
I could never thank you folks enough for the support that allowed me to do this, I really hope you get something out of it. Take care! Keep supporting indie devs!
And here's the public, shorter version of the video if you prefer that!
