v0.16 Teaser 02 (Patreon)

Hey all,

So quick note here for the next teaser. Usually I drop more teaser than this but I'm trying to be a bit more strategic here because a lot of things seem like spoilers. The selfies have been dropping like crazy but I wanted to bring things back to the game real quick so you can see what's going on and what the hold-up is.

So I'm going to share this image for a few different reasons but first I'll point out the mediocre shit. Obviously, this teaser is not visual groundbreaking in terms of quality. I still have some problems in the pool with lighting so I'm still experimenting so go easy of me.

However, part of what this update will show is what many people (and myself) have wanted since the beginning: background characters--other students at the school. We'll see this in a few shots coming up in v0.16. Part of this is just experimental. I wanted to see how many people I could drop in a shot without DAZ3D crashing on me. Think I've gotten about 9 on screen max so far. I may be able to do more but it just wasn't necessary. That being said, here's a teaser of part of the swim team doing...like...swimming 'n stuff. Downside, is that this takes longer to do scenes. Doing a scene with 2 people in a locker room is fairly quick but dropping a few background guys in there with poses that look like their interacting, doing their lighting, etc. just adds a lot more and takes longer for each shot. Basically, it becomes a balancing act of how detailed do you make the scene without making supporters wait 500 years for an update. So I'm doing some testing on a few scenes and we'll see how it goes. Remember, this is still the rough draft of the game so we're still trying things out. 

But, it's hopefully something to look forward to and will show more growth in the game. So while this image will appear in game, it's more of a concept teaser as well.
