E3 is done!

This year was definitely the weirdest one I've experienced.  Firstly there was the no Nintendo presentation thing, which I've already gone on about.  (One great-looking game doesn't cut it in my book.)  But then I had family visit the UNCANNILY EXACT days of the conference, so I very unfortunately didn't get to watch them live and be a part of all the fun, and had to sneak off to watch little snippets of the conferences here and there.  That threw off my timing, which was unfortunate because of all the videos I wanted to do.

When I did sit down and watch, I had my notebook with me and scribbled down anything that caught my attention or that could be made into a joke.  When it was all said and done I had four videos in mind.  The first two you've already seen, and somehow I was able to drop every other thing in my life including hygiene and most meals and crank them both out in a day.  Still not sure how that happened; I think I might have gone into a fugue state and been possessed by some sort of deity or something.  So that means that I've got two left to do, and unfortunately they're going much slower due to them using a lot of clips from the conferences.  (My editing software is not liking these huge files, and there's a lot of timestamps and notes and hunting and cutting and all that fun stuff.)

But because you're my wonderful patrons, I'll fill you in on them!  One of them is a Gamer's Brief.  I originally considered making a special report for Sony, one for Microsoft, and one for all the third parties put together, but in the end I just couldn't think of enough jokes for that.  So it's just a normal five-joke episode about the whole event, which is nothing super special considering how big E3 is and how many games were on display, but hey, sometimes not a lot of funny stuff happens.  In fact I'd say that was another strange thing about this E3:  There was a weird lack of dumb, cringey, casual filler that usually makes up half of these shows.  Each conference was pretty darn solid.  All the more reason it was a bad year for Nintendo not to show up.  (Can you tell I'm going to be sore about this for a while?)

Anyway, the fourth video is a bit of a risk for me.  I won't tell you exactly what it is, but it's a bit experimental, and I think a lot of people are going to hate it but I want to do it anyway because I think it's funny, heh.  It's a bit like my amiibo defect video in that it will probably bring in people expecting something different, and I'm thinking most of them will be mad when they see that it's a joke.  But man, I just can't help it.  Oh, and my normal fans might not like it as well because it doesn't even have me in it; it's just sort of a funny video by itself.  So we'll see how that goes down.  Even if it's not well-received I think it's important to experiment with the channel.  I've always aspired not to just be a normal reviewer and react-er, and to include a lot of comedy sketches and whatnot.

So that was my E3 experience.  I sort of feel like rating the different conferences or talking about my favorite reveals and all that, but everybody does that, so I probably won't.  If I do something like that it would probably be about how they were all so solid and why they were.  Again, I don't want to react to current stuff unless in the process I can say something about the bigger industry.  But yeah, everyone had a great show, lots of fun stuff.  I'm really bummed that Sony chose not to talk about the Neo though, and they also neglected to announce a slim model.  So now I'm in this weird place where I want a PS4 but I don't want to make a move until I know what's going to happen with the system.  That's bad business to put me in this place, if you ask me.  I've already committed to buying it, but I'm stuck until they decide to talk because I don't want to miss out.  Well, they've got until October, I guess, because I'm buying The Last Guardian no matter what.  XD

Well I guess that's it for now.  Once I get these next two videos out I'm probably not going to release anything for a while.  A few weeks at least, maybe a month.  It's taken a lot just to get the time to do all this, so it's sort of like instead of doing a video a week I'm releasing a month's videos all at once, you know?  I really hope I can get to a point where no matter what I just keep putting them out, but I'm still not there yet.  Got too much life stuff and too many other projects to work on, and I'll need some time.  Not too much, though, so don't worry.

Kay, love ya!

I wasn't really following E3 directly; most of what I know came from other YouTubers who've been playing closer attention. Personally, Microsoft's show made me glad I invested in an Xbox One (even if it's an older model that the One S and Scorpio will no doubt surpass), and Shantae: Half-Genie Hero being moved from this winter to this fall has me REALLY excited!
