I don't really listen to Ninja Sex Party nor have I heard of this "synth-wave", but there is this one artist that I've discovered recently named Jonathan Young; he does these EPIC power metal covers of various songs from movies, anime, and pop culture. My personal favorites are his covers of the One Punch Man theme, the Power Rangers theme, and "Misty Mountains" from The Hobbit.
