Website *Patreon.com* Has Been Banned in Russia (Patreon)

Hi,

Unfortunately, I am writing a post again with bad news - The Patreon website was blocked in Russia. The reason for this was that one of the users of the site who uses it for earnings (like many other creators) posted an article that Russian politicians did not like, and they decided to block the Internet resource on the territory of the Russian Federation.

To be honest, I don’t know how exactly in this way they wanted to punish the very creator who wrote this article, but I have a feeling that with such a gesture they made an excellent advertisement for this developer, because until that day most people had no idea who he was for the creator, but now, I believe - this creator will have much more attention, sponsorship and support. Great move. I guess.

And actually, if take into account the fact that with this gesture - the government has threatened the additional income of citizens of their own country - I cannot call such a decision far-sighted, although I have a feeling that ordinary citizens are not included much in the zone of interests of such people.

Now, regarding my Patreon page and my work in general - I hope this block is temporary and will be lifted soon. But if this does not happen - I suppose - I will have to move to my Boosty page (  https://boosty.to/shinesl   ) so-like using VPN is not safe when opening Patreon page (Since a public VPN uses the same IP addresses, and the protection system can consider that someone has started a lot of pages, which is not allowed by the rules of the site, because of which the page can easily get frozen).

In general, I hope that there will be no retaliatory sanctions from Patreon for such actions, and they will be able to deal with this situation in a positive way, but if anything - look for me on my Boosty page (although I hope it won't come to that, since even though I'm not withdrawing anything from Patreon right now - I use it as a safe currency piggy bank for a rainy day on future).
