Full disclosure up front - this is a bit of a throw-away video. I’ve had this trio of Spectrum Analysers on my outstanding list for a while and I needed to get them out of the way to clear some space and move on. I’d taken a day or so off work and thought they’d be an easy thing to shoot in the time that remained.

Whilst it is a subject that’s simple to shoot, it’s also one that (quite understandably) has received diminishing levels of viewer interest video after video. So you’ll be happy to hear that I’ll be drawing a line under this topic for a good while (if not forever).

In other news I just dropped my Pioneer RT-909 open reel tape recorder off for a repair today. I hope they can bring it back to life as it’s the centrepiece of my HiFi. Since the repair place is seriously backlogged (first time I’ve tried this one) - it could be months before it comes back. Therefore in the meantime I plan to use this opportunity to swap a couple of different R2R machines into the rack in order to demonstrate them. One door closes…

Anyway take care..and feel free to skip this weeks video, if you do you won’t be missing anything of note. However if you do watch it, I wouldn’t bother scrutinising it looking for errors, the whole thing could be considered as one big error.
