Over the last year or so it seemed very likely that this Kickstarter might never arrive. I've lost so much money on Kickstarter and Indiegogo projects that I just won't back them any more. I'm still awaiting that AHD Android Home Device ;-)

However this time the team at Coturn were true to their word and their CT-01 arrived earlier this week. So here is my review of a modern day reimagining of a Sound Burger (whether intentionally or not).

After experiencing so many modern tech disappointments I really had all my hoped pinned on this device bucking the trend. Would this mini record player prove that humankind hasn’t completely forgotten how to make quality ingenious tech capable of playing physical formats. Cross your fingers and tap play.

With this video, that’s me caught back up again at last. As Patrons you are now a week or so ahead of the general YouTube audience. It’s been a struggle getting back to here - so hopefully I can keep this buffer intact.

UPDATED: The benefits of a delayed release!

Thanks to a comment from MrHammond (who expressed the opinion that the audio sounded mono) - I did some further tests on the Coturn and - well things took quite the turn. As a result I’ve had to shoot a whole new second half for the video. This new section starts at around 13:34 but I also made a few small alterations to the earlier half to ensure that it still made sense. The updated version of the video is embedded and linked to below.
