The BIGGEST used HiFi bargains might be the SMALLEST (Patreon)

Mini HiFi, I’ve wanted to talk about these for a while and I have some older classic examples to show in the future. It’s a segment of home audio that I’m quite enthusiastic about as it combines two of my interests, miniaturisation and HiFi.
Mini HiFi was a category usually overlooked by HiFi magazines and websites. They preferred to focus on the higher end equipment and separate components. The affordable and convenient products bought by the average consumer received very little attention.
As they don't appeal to audiophiles or collectors, Mini HiFi systems don't generally command high prices on the second hand market. This means that they can offer great value for money, if you can find a good one.
There are plenty of people who still want something compact and competent on which to play their old tapes or CDs. Generally they'll go looking for a boombox, but good classic boomboxes are very expensive now and new ones are usually mediocre (at best). I think anyone looking for a compact physical music player might benefit from looking outside the (boom)box and consider a Mini HiFi instead.
In the video I show you the one I bought to demonstrate what you can pick up for a sensible sum of money in 2021.

In other news it’s been a chaotic week here at the vast Techmoan Studio Complex. What started as a simple driveway alteration resulted in builders cutting through my broadband cable…twice. On two different days.
Twice I had to convince a VirginMedia call centre representative located on the other side of the world to send out an engineer as a wire that’s in two pieces definitely will never work again, no, restarting my router will absolutely not help and there‘s a very obvious reason they are unable to get results from their remote tests.
Considering the interruptions, noise and chaos it's a minor miracle there's any video this week.
However I’d ask you to please forgive the rather disjointed and somewhat technically shoddy and boated nature of this video. There are also a number of camera issues that I'll be resolving before I start on my next video.
It’s been a heck of a week. Hope yours has been more relaxing. Take care.
