Some of the recent videos I’ve put out have proved to be a bit too obscure and hard going. This one by way of a contrast is short and simple. It features an educational device that found it’s way into the 2017 film Baby Driver.

To give the video more relevance I’ve been waiting for the Blu-ray release before I made this one. Well the time is almost upon us - Baby Driver is out in the US on October 10th and it is already available through some streaming platforms.

Oh and if you are interested in getting hold of one of these machines - there was one on ebay (a simpler model without the sampling ability) the last time I looked - http://ebay.to/2y3nVaz - I’d suggest buying now before the video goes public on Friday.

UNRELATED but of interest to Techmoan's Patrons: Dalibor Farny just announced they are taking orders for their next batch of "zen" nixie tube clocks: http://www.daliborfarny.com/

Funnily enough I’ve ordered a couple of things containing Nixies recently. So all being well there should be another Nixie themed video or two coming up.

Farny's products are exquisite, right down to the hand-formed numerals inside each Nixie tube. As might be expected, that kind of craftsmanship does not come cheap: Farny's "zen" clocks retail around $1300 US plus shipping. I look forward to your upcoming videos, as Nixie tubes are "eye candy"!

Obscure perhaps (a good thing btw), but never, ever hard going. Please don't put yourself, or your work, down. You're at the top of your game Mr Moan, and I, for one, wouldn't want it any other way!
