It's nice to see Fluttershy giving Discord a piece of her mind when he's acting out. She might be timid, but when she puts her hoof down, there's no moving it.

Twilight just cannot wrap her brain around the fact that Celestia is a party animal that wants to have a good time. As to Discord.... he's trying. Yeah he over reacts and goes a little nuts at time... but hey... Chaos God and all that. He's new to this whole friendship and caring about what others want thing and Fluttershy understands that. Plus, well... he's not a villain anymore, but he is still kind of a jerk.

I think Viewmasters hit the nail on the head with this one. Not much relevance to anything going on in the big picture, but a nice little Discord episode with lots of references. You figured out the Dumb and Dumber and comedian references, but you missed the Danny Torrance pony from The Shining when the Smooze escapes from the room in a similar fashion to when the blood flows from the elevator in that movie. Another nice little reference that young children aren't going to notice, but people our age will totally get.
