Definitely one of Eeriest Episodes of adventure time the ambience the mysterious setting, the music they definitely nailed this spooky tone for this ep

Ah. Sister... that's a more likely scenario. You'd think a mom would pick up on a random human showing up and a random human about that age showing up would register somehow. We don't know she doesn't have gills. We just know that something under that registered with Finn. Perhaps even confirmation of gills. Or it could be something else that we're unaware of. . Finn's durability is pretty high, but that's a lot of concentrated force on finn's li'l stems. Lich and co. generally hit Finn on his torso or something that takes force a bit better. . Jake's head injury occurred during the deer fight. . The deer *did* have six months and showed it could stand toe-to-toe with both Finn and Jake previously, so it's not too far-fetched that it could catch those candy people. That wasn't the whole candy kingdom. There are way more citizens than that. The rest were probably in hiding or something. Perhaps the deer wasn't overly 'powerful' but reasonably skilled and lucky.
