I’m glad you enjoyed the episode even if it was more centered around rarity, the name of fancy pants’s friend that you liked is fleur de lis by the way :) I think she is supposed to be a model of some kind

Rarity is a rather complex character. Her vanity contrasts with her generosity, and her melodramatic tenancies lead to a lot of good scenes. I didn't expect to like her when I started the show, but she's probably my third favorite behind RD and Twilight, who are hard to beat due to having the most character development of the Mane 6 in my opinion. Fleur-De-Lis, as that is in fact her name, doesn't appear too often unfortunately. She's believed to be a model, and there's a popular fan theory that her kind of long, slender build is considered the ideal in pony society, as it mimics that of Princess Celestia.

Fancy Pants is the best kind of rich pony. He uses his influence to help support those without it. What a guy. Pinkie Pie has a party cannon. That explains how she can set up parties so quickly. Twilight jumped up the ranks of "best pony" for me in this episode. She does a lot for Rarity here. There was also another Derpy sighting in this episode. She is shown during the song when there's that big grid of various rich ponies... she is in one of the "squares" with a brown paper bag on her head. Very easy to miss.

in this show there are a few ponies I don't like and then there are those I actually hate jet set and upper crust are 2 of them. I am with you I hate snobs they just REALLY piss me off. now fancy pant's that is a true gentlecolt he is exactly what a rich figure should be. yeah he has money but he's more bringing others up to his status rather then knocking them down.

There isn't very much direct call backs outside of some important events, but we do see from this point on that Rarity has a very good relationship with Fancy Pants. And yes, that is what Rarity's episode tend to feature, but it's about Rarity proving that while she enjoys that sort of thing, it is not all she is about and that there is far more to her then just the surface prissiness. Also, those garden party ponies are idiots, one of those mares you are bad mouthing is your God-Empress' personal protege, great telling who to suck up to or not. Though a lot of people believe that Fancy Pants at least fully knew who they were and was enjoying trolling the snobs. Fancy Pants is a cool guy.
