Definitely a fun episode. I noticed something watching this time around that I never noticed before: Fluttershy has Pinkie Pie's gala dress that Rarity made in her closet for some reason. Kinda a weird little Easter egg I guess. Definitely feeling that Celestia might be a bit of a light hearted troll sometimes. Also we now know Celestia has a pet as well. That leaves Twilight and Rainbow Dash as being petless.

my fave princess is luna but I really lover tia as she is just a fun loving ruler as you'll see thru the series not gnna spoil it but you'll really love her by the end of the series. also if you ever get the chance I HIGHLY recommend attending a con or even looking up on youtube nicole oliver and her thoughts and fun with MLP. she is an absolute riot,

And thus Trollestia was born! This really helped shape the image of Tia as kind, benevolent, and just wanting her ponies to relax and enjoy themselves and not above a bit of trolling to get them to do that. As to the show not caring about her looking like an idiot..... weeellll... 'the show' as a whole not does care about that..... one specific writer....... well you'll see. Logic and Pinkie Pie are in a death feud with each other. There a method to her madness, there is just a whole lot of madness. And while she's never deliberately mean, she can tend to be oblivious to her actions' effects on others when significantly excited. Also, when you think about it, a Phoenix is the perfect pet for a being like Celestia, one who can live as long as she does.
