"Why did these guys get brought in?" Yes, I agree with you about the new characters. They added too many in Season 3. I think they added the theater characters because the real life Gem Saloon was also a theater, so maybe they were trying include that element in the show for the historical significance. But between those guys and Aunt Lou and Odell, it's a lot of new characters on a show that is already chock full of interesting characters. It's not all bad, I love Brian Cox and Aunt Lou is a great character. But I wish they had focused on the characters they already had instead of adding more new ones.

Ah. I didnt think of the connection to the Gem being a theater. I agree they are all interesting characters and I love the actor Brian Cox. I just thoght the show did such a good job with character building and fleshing people out that I feel like they either were rushed or had other plans in the beginning.
