Time for another one of these as the last one was superseded by Foreign Affairs (and I mostly forgot but given Basket and I gave you that as a bonus thing I felt what the production of last month's stuff was obvious enough without having to delve too deep into it. Especially if you went the route of seeing the less ideal timeline.)
Next up for Patrons we have Sal's route update, and for the most part that's coming along nicely. I'm staring at my second draft of it and it's shaping up nicely. A lot of good moments from the crocodile given what's been happening in all other routes instead. Writing we're on track for release on the 15th as always. Also, one new CG so that's going to be fun. I've already rebuilt the next build for Patrons to patch out some issues, so on that front we should be fine.
Next on to music. If all goes well, we should have 2 new tracks in the next build, potentially, depending on how things pan out. It'll just come down to coordinating things with Civ as to if things are at a ready enough stage to show off. But to help this along, and because I've heard a few people wanting to listen to the soundtrack, I've also been looking into implementing a sound room to the gallery. I have a framework at least to start trying to implement it but at this stage it's a desirable for next build and may not happen, but I'm for sure going to try and get something in there.
UI Update! Finally! Something at least. Kitashi has been playing around with a bunch of stuff to maybe make the save slots a bit easier to keep organized. Not that I really asked him to, but it came out great! I've attached a screenshot of what it might end up looking like, but essentially each slot will have a route indicator in the top right or something to distinguish what route you're on in that save. Plus on there will be the current "Day" you're on, along with path. The boxes? Those are your characters. If they're crossed out, means they're dead. Still need to be tested and felt out as far as integration but that's the direction I'm heading so far.
So to summarize: Next build is on track. Bonus features will be more music and a sound room likely, Fingers crossed there'll be more in the way of pretty UI stuff soon.
