Sorry for deleting the last priority poll - shortly after posting it, I realized that Google Cast support and streaming were actually separate topics, and in researching the Google Cast implementation I got so excited about it that I just finished it. So, the old poll was misleading/confusing.

Rather than posting another poll, I'd love to hear any suggestions or feedback you have, and then we can see if we need a poll to vote on what happens next.

What are some things you wish Generative.fm could do that it doesn't? Or, is there anything about the app that isn't the way you think it should be?

I don't mean to fish for answers, but on the last poll we had some discussion around adding user accounts so you could log in to save and sync your favorites, listening time, etc. Streaming is also still on the table, though perhaps we'll need to discuss it more to determine what people are looking for (self-hosted streams by you vs global streams hosted by me and paid for with Patreon).

Thanks!

Also, I should mention that, for me, improvements to the process of making pieces will always take precedence over cosmetic or UX improvements to the platform. The whole reason I use Generative.fm is simply for the sounds it produces. I would be happy even if the interface looked like something from Geocities as long as I could play a piece. Lol

Maybe it's a crazy idea, but I would love a simple mobile app. Not an app to stream the music, but an app to generate the music locally, so even when I'm offline, I can listen to your wonderful pieces, forever :-)

Which kind of phone do you have, and which browser do you use? Depending on the browser/phone, the site should load even when you're offline and play just fine! If you use Chrome on Android, you should see a button to "Install" it on the top right of the page. If you use iOS, open it up in Safari, tap the "Share" button, and press "Add to Home Screen." This is pretty new technology but the support for it will get better in the next few years.
