Hey all,

It's time for the first drop of Hellscapes maps, which is the theme for July! We have some particularly infernal maps for you this month, but here's what we've decided to lead with first:

City of Brass - Streets

The City of Brass in the Elemental Fire is said to be where the Sultan of all Efreet rules from. Tall, shimmering buildings are surrounded by canals and aqueducts of lava that carry heat, light, and power around the city.

This urban map set in the City, contains 6 different buildings - all of which can be entered to get a slice of life around the City of Brass.

In addition to climbing on top of or exploring inside the buildings, Foundry users will also see (and hear!) the constant flow of lava passing through the canals and sewers, thanks to the tile-scroll module.

(Skulls for) The Skull Throne

This map shows the inner sanctum of a powerful figure found in the hells - perhaps a Demon Prince, a particularly nefarious devil, or a horrendously powerful warlord who has carved out a piece of the plane for themselves. Regardless, a series of corridors, prison cells, and storage chambers surround a central audience hall, filled with blood and the skulls of the master's enemies.

In the wall of skulls behind the throne, a hidden switch grants access to secret chambers at the back. Is a great treasure stored here? The secret to the Demon's power, or perhaps the key to their immortality!

Flesh Tomb

This horrible, horrible map provides a twisting labyrinth of flesh, blood, bone, and body horror. Canopy elements throughout have jagged bits of bone, eye stalks, and bloody sinews stretching overhead, making the map surprisingly claustrophobic. A central locked chamber contains a giant heart, which can be heard through the fleshy walls as you find your way deeper into the aberration.

(Harrison note: For me, this map is one of the biggest examples we've had in a while where you simply must load it up in Foundry to appreciate it. I've added a note to the map explaining how I'd run this in darkness, just using torch light. Try adding a token and taking a walk through -  It's very atmospheric!)

Far below, life-laden shadows pulse to the unrelenting rhythm of a beating heart...

The gallery has been updated with this content, as well as pCloud, which you can access through your Theme Master List and the Foundry VTT module is updated and ready to be downloaded.

We'll be back with more Hellscapes very soon, as well as some other exciting announcements!

Keep Rollin' those 20's, folks!
