Hi, good one. You might want to fix the typos in the YouTube title and description though :D

You might want to mention Michel Paccard who was the first to carry a barometer up a mountain (Mt. Blanc) in the 18th century.

I feel really stupid. When the timelapse was going I kept asking why you built and took down a wall in front of your plants and then I realized it was a reflection on the window...

U.S. Water Rockets

Cody: Barometers can be used as altimeters? Fact Check: TRUE! I designed the "Launchpad Altimeter" using an electronic barometric pressure sensor to measure the altitude of model rockets. It really does work! The firmware is free and you can put one together with off-the-shelf parts for about 15 dollars. If you ever get back into making your own rockets, let me know and I'll hook you up with one or you can just build one yourself from the open source plans.

I did a similar thing in the past with an Arduino Pro Mini (the 3.3V variety), a small LiPo battery (3.6V) and a number of sensors: pressure sensor, accelerometer, Hall sensor and a jury-rigged microSD card, all soldered directly onto the Arduino; planned was a GPS receiver as well but that would have brought the weight above what my rocket was able to lift. I kept meaning to make a larger rocket but never got around to it.

I'd love to see more videos about measurement instruments. They sometimes have a lot of history and use cases (e.g. as covered by James Burke) but a CodysLab explanation of their operational principles and your amazing "oh by the way i built one" could be interesting to a lot of people. Thanks for listening!
