Dear Prissy Flouncy Pink & Bouncy Patrons... I hope everyone has been having a highly enjoyable weekend. :):):)

With the Winning Pose of *C* being Chosen with the most votes  ( C. 40 Votes - A. 38 Votes - B. 28 Votes ), As can be seen in the sketched looks above, I've attempted to start figuring out what constitutes a Southern-Belle look & which aspects of such a look I would like to use for the Final Pin-Up.

In many regards being a Southern-Belle is clearly a lifestyle which has grown & evolved over the centuries in the way it influences certain clothing and behaviour choices for those who follow such a lifestyle. So coming up with looks for this style-theme seem to balance upon just how far I want to follow certain Southern-Belle Clothing and Styling Rules and how much I can also break those rules while still (hopefully) hanging on to the visual identity of the Style-Theme.

I really like the two on the bottom left. The third in the first row is also really nice.

Thank you Mike, :) if I may ask, what is it about any of those 3 looks which evokes the feeling of a Southern-Belle to you?

Mika W

I would say the umbrella, the puffy shoulders and the hairstyle/hat. I really like the short skirt and tight pants in those, I am not that big a fan of the huge bell dresses.

Thank you so much for your clarifications Mike, this was really Helpful. :D

i like the one in the center, it says Long dress, but hides nothing! and the pic center right! or the dress could be transparent, like that Negligee: https://stylzboutique.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/SB-Mini-Negliee-Babydoll-800x800.jpg

Interesting, Thank you for your comment Ben, your comment has the cogs in my mind turning. ^^

Thank you Giovanni, I'm not sure which approach I will be taking yet, but everyone's feedback has me considering which option may be the most appropriate. :)

oh i like a lot of them and love the direction your taking this in

I too like one in middle, the way you split the dress is exactly what I would've done with that pose. One change I would make is that I prefer the hat from sketch #4 (top row). As far as hairstyle, ringlets are by far the most recognized as southern bell kinda thing. I would have abundance of ringlet curls fall from behind her shoulders.

middle one reminds me of the wedding dress in always a bride I like that one and the top 2 left ones.

Thank you Seamus, I think I've now decided upon a look, I'm just now trying to figure out some of the details of the final look. :)

I haven't decided what to do regarding the a hat/ bonnet yet, at this point they feel like they have the potential to take the 'bimbo element' and tone-down that quality. If this had been a sissy pin-up you can guarantee that the sissy would be wearing a big over the top bonnet, though. ^^

The shape of that look is very much like 'Always a Bride', :) I feel the front opening is always quite a tricky part to vary in shape. ^^

The hat that I referenced reminds me of the Kentucky Derby hats, its popular southern tradition to dress up for annual horse race, and one most important parts is the hat. Oftentimes the hat is the centerpiece of their outfit. The wide brim with lace (or whatever decor you have on it) would compliment the sketch in middle tremendously and give it a definite Southern Belle look. Just look up 'Kentucky Derby hats'. To see what I'm talking about.
